CC's Bathroom Re-do. I'm done. I promise you, but mostly I promise myself.

Thank goodness I'm done!! I can not add enough exclamation points. For real.

I'm gonna show before and after pictures because I already showed you the little things I did to change the fixtures and cabinet up, along with the mirror frame.

The toilet area after the new flooring was put down, but before any of the other stuff.

The main wall to the right of the toilet area after flooring, before the other stuff.

Mirror before the frame and all the other stuff.

Woops! Small side project here. I got the inspiration here. And, of course, hers looks way better than mine.

Mirror and toilet area now.

The wall now.

The towels obviously need ironed, but I'm done. They'll straighten out in time. I'm lazy like that.

Notice the one wall is blue. I'm just a huge fan of accent walls. Probably because I never have the balls to do a whole room.

Or.

Because I'm lazy like that.

Anyway, the paint that is on that wall was a freebie from Glidden last year. I got it specifically for this bathroom, knowing I wanted to re-do it at some point. Unfortunately, when I slapped it on the wall it was this sickening cotton candy/baby blue and I wanted it to be more grayish.

So I got some of my craft paint and dumped it in the paint and mixed it up.

It still wasn't quite right.

So I just kept adding and mixing.

Eventually, I got tired of not getting it right so I called it quits and went for it the way that it was at that point.

Guess what.

After it dried?

It was exactly what I wanted.

Bonus!!

That never happens.

Anyway.

That's all of my crafty stuff for now. I have lots of other projects to do this summer, but you won't see em because nobody wants to see me cleaning out my shed and organizing my Christmas decor, which I have about 4,000 totes filled with (thanks Viv for the reminder!) and organizing things for a garage sale (screams) that I will for sure give you the deets about.

I mean. Come on. The fodder that is to be had at garage sales?

Pure gold.

I've never had a garage sale because I'm skeered to sell all of my precious possessions.

Including my 90's collection of Cd's.

Every piece of decor I've ever used in any house I've lived in.

Just to name a couple.

Oh yes.

Very precious, indeed.

Wonder how much I'll cry?

So. What the crap do I have to talk about now that I've gotten through the crafty crap?

Have a great Monday everyone!

love those pictures you painted! And all the coordinating affects. My kids would have it trashed in about 10 minutes.

Great job girly!

I iron towels. Not the everyday use ones. The show towels. They're just for show. Do not use my show towels.

I like that paintymabob idea.

My bathroom is all toile and vintagey. Well, partly. Because I start stuff and never finish. I've been looking for paintings and appropriate show towels forevvver.

The Bottomless Pit needs to watch out. I feel another decorating surge coming on.

Looks great! And awesome job making your own paint. The only time I have ever ironed a towel was when I had it laying over some craft project that couldn't have the direct heat.

I love accent walls. I think they look so much cooler than painting a whole room. And you're right, who has the time and energy to paint a whole room?

Definitely not me.

The bathroom looks great!

you're selling your CD's from the 90's. What, are you crazy?!?!

And have you ever really ironed a towel? Please tell me no, or you are going to severely throw me over the edge.

It looks so beautiful! You did a mah-velous job!
And I'm with the SurferWife. What is this noise about you selling your 90's CDs!? You're talking crazy talk!

Okay, so since I'm not gifted with the crafty vibe and I don't want to marry a gay man (well, okay I kind of do), I don't think I have craftiness in my future.

So, what's say you make my bathroom pretty one day when Monique makes an honest woman out of me and we buy a house in Boca?

I love those paintings. Can you teach me how to make one?

Looks great! I like the canvas' you did! They look easy enough I could probably do it... not that I will. Ahhh the dreaded garage sale. I just did my first & it sucked, although the $$$ was awesome! Keep thinking about what you can get with the $$$ :)

I never would have thought to mix it up like that. You're quite a clever one, I gotta say. I like the final results!

Looks good! Love the wall color and the shower curtain, too!

I love the blue accents! The painting looks great, yet fun and easy peasy, too :)

Does anyone, ever, seriously iron towels??? Because if so, I never got the memo...

Jen said...

Who on earth irons towels?? Lol! I thought people who ironed jeans were crazy :) And your paintings look great! Have to say I'm not a fan of the accent wall - but my dad is :) He and his GF have used that a lot - how do you make a straight line in the corner??

Good luck with your yard sale - I know it will be hard - but really - you don't need all that stuff :) and just copy all your cds onto your ipod! That's what I did - takes up so much less space :)

You have great taste *wink*

Wow! It turned out great!!! I love the floor and the color you made is perfect. We framed out a mirror in our master bath too and it makes such a huge difference. I'm glad you talked him into a garage sale

I think I want to paint the wall our bed is on in our bedroom, but leave the rest of the walls as is. I just haven't decided on a color yet.

Great job, girlie! I'm pretty sure that when I redo my bathroom, I won't share pictures, because it is most likely only a good idea in my head...
